Yvonne Brooks RMT
Yvonne comes from a long background in Social Services. During her time in that field, she grew another side to her career that included Reflexology, Yoga Instruction and Reiki. She always wanted to be a Massage Therapist, but the dream was on hold while raising her family. The dream became a reality within the last few years and Yvonne has fully integrated herself into the natural healing world. She is excited to share her passion and expertise with others. She believes in the body’s own natural ability to heal itself as well as proactive health care. In addition to assessing and treating your soft issues and joints to relieve pain and improve
function, Yvonne will also provide education for home exercises and develop a treatment plan to best suit your needs.
K-LASER THERAPY
K-Laser Therapy involves the use of specific wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to stimulate the body's natural ability to heal. The energy that comes from the laser increases circulation while drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasm, stiffness, and pain.
The science behind K-Laser therapy
Effective treatment modalities are backed up with science and results, and K-Laser Therapy has both. The therapeutic K-lasers are designed to deliver specific red and near-infrared wavelengths of laser light to cause a photochemical reaction and healing effect. Some of the physiological effects include heightened circulation, reduced inflammation, reduced pain, and increased healing of tissues.

Therapy involving lasers has been used in Europe since the 1970s and was officially cleared by the FDA for North America in 2005. K-Laser Therapy is a completely safe and highly effective treatment.

How many treatments do I need?
The first question many patients ask before receiving treatment is, "How long will it take for me to feel better?" As is the case with many types of treatment, the effects of K-Laser therapy are cumulative in nature and usually require multiple treatments. Often times, though, patients experience a measure of relief immediately after the first treatment.

The exact amount of sessions will depend on the specific diagnosis, age, and overall health of the patient. As a general rule, acute conditions usually require fewer treatments while chronic conditions tend to require more.
